A Lovely Hand
Last Night I held a lovely hand,
a hand so smooth and neat.
I thought my heart would burst with joy,
so wildly did it beat.
I doubt if any other hand could to me
greater solace bring,
than the lovely hand I held last night,
FOUR ACES AND A KING!!!

Please give credit to the author of the poem, DonLeon. I have found this poem posted many places on the internet, all with "Author Unknown" or "Anonymous" as the credit. If a poem is not written by the person posting it, it would be plagerism not to post the credit.

I am the author of this poem. It was written by me in 1942 and originally published in Reader's Digest.
( I never knew it was so popular)
