Exercise Support Thread Week of 6/21/2009
Welcome, everyone, to a new week of working out. And to those fathers out there, Happy Father's Day! It's time to set goals for the week. My goal is to run 23 miles this week, including an 8 mile long run, scheduled for today.

Re: Exercise Support Thread Week of 6/21/2009
That's an awesome lot of running, Michael.
This week? Well I could get 5 swims in, and that will be the last of the swimming for two months. I'll have to use DDs treadmill, or go for long walks on the farm. What a lovely thought.
Today? Does 3 extra trips down the stairs, carrying classroom equipment that belongs to me and therefore had to come home, plus back up the stairs to fetch the next load, count for anything? Then there were 5 trips here at the apartment to fetch the boxes from the car and bring them up here (but there is a lift to get to the second floor - thank goodness ). If anyone wonders how it was 3 and then 5, well, I had help at school, but couldn't find the watchman here, so

Hi, Vivienne. Those walks on the farm sound awesome. I wish I could join you.
I just got back from my 8 mile run, so the week is off to a good start.

Thank goodness for a digital camera so that I can snap away to my heart's content, see all that I have captured and just print the ones I want!

Hi all -
Well it was a busy weekend in Sweden - Midsommar weekend! And I got my husband the SAW quadrology and SAW 5 film for father's day. He likes gorey movies... LOL! Anyway, we went to http://www.tomteland.se yesterday and pics can be seen @ http://www.flickr.com/cockermom if interested!
Goal this week, to walk 4 miles a day, with Leslie Sansone.

Just getting back from a trip to Southern CA for fun & work. I ate so much junk in the 3 days I was down there that I literally felt sick for the 3 days!

Re: Exercise Support Thread Week of 6/21/2009
It's been a busy week. But this morning I ran the last of my 3 mile runs to get to my goal.
Heather, what is Tomteland? It looks similar to Santa's Village near here (Which actually closed several years ago). Great pictures.

Re: Exercise Support Thread Week of 6/21/2009
Michael, if you go to www.tomteland.se and choose the UK flag, you can read more on the Santa World.
I've been busy since DH's last day of work (laid off) on Friday. We've enjoyed just hanging out and not using the laptops much. No workout since Thursday, but got in a decent amount of steps on the pedometer since then. I just have to get back into it tomorrow, when I'm home alone (well, with the dog). DH and DS are going on an overnight cruise from Mon-Tues. Will be nice to have some time to myself
And fans in the living room will be nice so I can be cool whilst I workout, even tho I still sweat my tushie off.
I noticed how I am toning up nicely when I upped from 2 to 4 miles in such a short time. I haven't taken any measurements... I think I'd rather just go with how clothes feel and how much I weigh each week on the scale.
Hope you all have a fantastic Sunday!
