Exercise Support Thread Week of 7/5/2009
Welcome to a new week, everyone. I hope you all had a "blast" last night. Now it's time to burn off all those excess calories from the July 4th barbecues. It's also time to set our workout goals for the week.
My goal is to run 23 miles this week, including an 8 mile long run, which I plan to do tomorrow. I ran 3 miles this morning to start the week.

That is quite impressive, holy cow! I am hopeful to do pilates 4x this week. But, good for you'! May God help you on your journey this week.
For me, I have been keeping up with my pilates routine, yay! The results I see from this reformer surpass the results from weight training, hands down. I can't beileve it. I feel stronger, and am leaner, it really is quite a workout, very deceiving. Looks so easy, but ít's tough! I am glad I have found something to alternate with cardio.
My goals for the week are:
pilates 4x
cardio 2x
rest 1 day
Here's to health, everyone!

Tosk, that's a pretty impressive week you have lined up. What is HIIT?
Whatevergirl, welcome back. I've missed you. How are you feet doing?
Guess who just go back from an 8 mile run. That's right! It was ME.

Re: Exercise Support Thread Week of 7/5/2009
I'm on track so far this week. Just one more day to reach my goal.
Sharon, what did the PF feel like? I've got some persistent soreness in my right foot, and I have no idea what it is. It feels muscular.

HIIT = high intensity interval training. I do Tabata intervals which is maximum exertion for 20 seconds followed by a 10 second rest.
This week didn't go as planned since I had to spend two days traveling. I just did yoga and gymnastics and focused on my diet. I also busted a lamp and table in my hotel room trying to do handstand push ups. I will have to push everything until next week.

Oh no, I pray you don't have this! It is persistent soreness, yes...and a stiffness like in the arch/like back bottom part of your foot...is that the ball of a person's foot? Like when you walk forward, the part that touches the ground first. This makes sense, I'm sure lol
But when you are sitting and you flex your foot, it hurts, too. If you have this, you seriously will need to stop running for a while, that's what happened to me...it will only get worse the more pressure you put on it. Remember when I read that it would take 2 years to go away, in a lot of cases? It took about a year and a half, now it's like it never happened. Strange.
Maybe get new running shoes?

Re: Exercise Support Thread Week of 7/5/2009
Got my pilates routine in today, hooray! I did lower body and upper body, for about a 45 minute workout...also did some ab work. I just love this reformer machine...if you can swing it, I say purchase one. It is hard to believe how quickly this thing works to show results, and how quickly I have become stronger. I mix it sometimes with free weights, I just love it.
How is everyone today?
Praying you're all having a blessed weekend so far, and finding time to exercise.

Actually, the pain is between the heel and ball of the foot. If I've been sitting for a while, then it hurts pretty bad when I get up to walk. But after a few minutes of walking around, the pain is nearly gone. That makes me think it's muscular.
Anyway, time for a new thread. Please follow us here.
