Uhm, I call B... Wait, can't do that on this site.
I respectfully submit that this is a cute and clever forgery.
Do you think the Pope actually travels with two Anglicans or men trying to look like Anglican priests? They are wearing 'dog collars' and not 'roman collars'.
He's a fairly good hitter, though. Looks like him, too.
Can anyone vouch for this?

That was pretty funny. Was the Holy Father a lefty? He wasn't very good, but he seemed too good for a Polish pope, and he wasn't acting like the pope. Just swinging the bat over and over without interacting at all with anybody. No way that was Pope John Paul with some secret love of the batting cage. I agree it was cute and clever.

Pope John Paul at an indoor batting cage during his 1987 visit to California. This video has just been released by the Vatican. Thats what it says. This is actually him I am 99.9% sure. I will research it more.

It seems so bizzare though. But he was one for sports. Wasnt he a boxer. He also played a game similar to baseball call stickball supposedly in Poland. Pretty sure it was him. What do you guys think?

you know what, I think it wasnt him. If you listen to him he had an North American accent and he wasnt with his Cardinals. What do you guys think

Definitely not the Great John Paul II. Good likeness but it's obviously not him, the accent is wrong, the shoes are wrong, etc. I think if the video was a little clearer (not as fuzzy), this would be obvious.
