Default Seven Churches - Saint Thomas Christians- List by Catholics and Jacobites– Are they fable

Among the Saint Thomas Christians there is a tradition about Seven Churches. Various list are put forward by Catholics, Orthodox and Jacobites.

What does documents say about this ? Is the list consistent ? When was this list complied ? Does it has churches which were added by political interest ?

Please Cite source documents for a healthy discussion.

i have no idea what you are talking about. do you mean the seven churches listed in revelation? if that is the case they were just the seven "churches" that existed at the time John was writing the book of revelation. and we have to remember what was called a church back then is not what we consider a church now. Christainity was illegal if you were caught practicing it you were killed. people would meet in secret at each others homes and these were the first "churches". other than that unless you clarify what your talking about i have no idea.

The original poster is referring to the Tradition regarding the seven Churches that St. Thomas the Apostles started when he came as a missionary to India.

The Tradition holds true for the majority of scholars, academics, laity, faithful, and most Churches - Catholic, Orthodox, and protestant.

The source regarding the Traditional Apostolic position is found here:
