Default Are the Garabandal apparitions approved?

In case you are unfamiliar, here's a website all about these particular supposed Marian appearances:
http://www.garabandal.org/
Are these approved by the church or not? Apparently the nature of the apparitions have some people concerned about their origin.

They are neither approved nor condemned, I believe.

They are certainly not condemned. An interview given by Bishop del Val Gallo ( onetime bishop of Santander) shows this quite clearly. The interview was granted to the Village Magazine in the nineties.

If this letter in the EWTN archive is any indication, it is neither approved nor rejected. But the language is a bit obscure to me...

Sorry in my earlier post I mistakenly said "The Village Magazine". I should have said "the Vigil Magazine. Here is the link http://www.garabandal.org/vigil/interview.shtml

This is not true.

The Bishop of Santander judged the event(s) non constat de supernaturalitate, i.e. a supernatural origin could not be established.

For an event to be "condemned", it would be judged constat de non supernaturalitate, i.e. the event is definitely not of supernatural origin.

So to say the apparations, if they happened, are "neither approved nor condemned" would be closer to the truth.

I personally haven't made up my mind, but these classifications (with one other) apply to all apparitions investigated by the Church, so just wanted to put that out there.

Thanks for your reply. I'm not 100% on these apparitions either.

I believe that these apparitions have not been approved. I have a friend who works for a priest and he wrote that these apparitions may be the work of the enemy. This was relayed to be earlier this year.

He may be wrong, so I am going to investigate. Seems I have read that is has been disapproved.
