Default Star of Bethlehem

I just finished reading a web site called Bethlehamstar.net and have goose bumps on my goose bumps. This site is a definite must for all Christians who have nagging doubts about their faith. I've always thought science should be able to support events in the Holy Bible and now my prayers have been answered.

Yours in Christ,
Johnwww.bethlehemstar.net

I saw the video on EWTN and liked it so much that I bought the DVD and showed it to my Bible study group. I will also use it for RCIA.

It's folly to seek a natural explanation for a supernatural event.

The Fathers say this was a vision given to the Wise Men. Nobody else saw the Star.

If you listened to the program you might feel a bit differently about it..EWTN is very careful about the type of thing they air

It used scripture and astronomy, with up to date computer programs about the heavens .......and showed what might have been proclaimed in the natural world by God' s hand

There wasn't any astrology at all in the program and like the Tilma of Jaun Diego..I saw a women clothed in the sun ,standing on a crescent moon, with Virgo over her womb

It was a snapshot of what the sky might have appeared like on Dec 25 about 3 AD

There are many theories posited by Biblical chronologists as to what the Star of Bethlehem might have been. The idea on that website and DVD only seems compelling because you are not aware of the full range of research and ideas on this subject, and because it is presented in an entertaining and simplified format.

I saw the program last year on EWTN. I really enjoyed it. It would be great if it is true. But we as Catholics must really be careful and understand what our faith is centered around. We don't need to hang on what this and that means . Jesus wants us to continue what he started. Spread the love guys, spread the love. Enjoy the DVD and take it for what it's worth. But always remember what our faith is all about.
