But we are overwhelmingly a Christian nation and have been for a long time.

I guess we are a tennis-shoe nation, or a jean-wearing nation, or a televison nation, etal.
We are a nation where the majority currently profess to be Christian.

Hollywood called us a Prozac Nation, why not?
Christian's like to think we are and always have been a Christian nation, and liberals like to think we are a Muslim nation....or whatever group they don't want to offend at the time....I wouldn't be surprised if some of them have called us a gay nation as well.
Well, of course I just had to go an google that out of curiosity and wouldn't you know:

I guess, to liberals...we are a nation of whatever group of people we feel sorry for at the moment of convenience as long as it's not Christians nation.

This whole "Christian nation" schtick is likely to backfire. What is going to happen when the protestants start saying the U.S. is a "Protestant nation"? We're in big trouble then!

Uh, no...I don't see this happening at all.
Growing up protestant, I never really considered myself protestant. I can't even remember the name protestant being used in my Church or household. We were Christians and it was very important to us to be recognized as Christians, not protestant.

Personally, I find it interesting that it always comes back to the use of the term "liberal." It should be banned from this board.

Because it's usually those of liberal political beliefs, Obama supporters and far leftists who are scared to attribute Christianity to America for fear of offending someone or fear of making someone feel left out.

It must be wonderful to have such a complete grasp on such a large group of people...my most reserved compliments.

Re: U.S. Air Force makes way for witchcraft
George Washington burnt down a pagan shrine before he would let his troops go into battle that was scheduled for early afternoon of the same day. It is little wonder that Americans are continually removing paganism when paganism can resemble Christianity quite simply...which is how pagan worship wants and drive their followers to do to the Christian belief system...make it work, make it simple. The pagan shrine, the UAF plotted out, will only service as an example of the American religious ideals and one today it to will be removed.

Re: U.S. Air Force makes way for witchcraft
I'm not sure what way the discussion is going now, but I'm glad they added a pagan shrine.

What about it? It does not say whether the country is Christian or not. It says there will be no national church. However, at the time the Constitution was enacted, several states maintained their established churches. The Constitution did not require the disestablishment of these churches, because it did not have a 14th Amendment yet.
By the time the 14th Amendment was enacted, all of the old state churches had been disestablished voluntarilly.

The North Vietnamese achieved victory for the simple reason that the United States refused fully to press the war into their country, with no corresponding agreement from the Communists not to press the war into the South.
The U.S. pursued a strategy of defeat for the entire duration of the conflict.
The entire world knew it. That is why the North's morale was higher.

That is a suspicious claim. Where did you get that information?
