They believe abortion is good - it can avoid a child being raised without an involved father. It can protect limited resources of a family. It protects the dignity of the mother, giving her control over her own body. They believe women should be given the *choice* of safe, available abortions.
Faithful Catholics know the truth. A life, a human life, is indisputably created at conception through the actions of a man, a woman, and God. Pregnancy is not a sickness to be cured but a miracle to behold. A fetus is not just a collections of cells such as mold or a tumor, but is a person. "Terminating" the fetus is killing a person, a human being. We are somewhat opposed to murder.

Thanks for the explanation. So first and foremost, people "agree" that the new life does not exist. It (the human fetus) is rather viewed as a growing blob to be: accepted and supported and cherished - or not accepted and destroyed. Yes - I think you nailed it.
