Vegan,
Animals cannot communicate their wishes with us on matters of life and death, or anything else for that matter.
But what do we as humans do? We assume that the animal would want to live. We acknowlege that they have a right to life. Hence, this is why Humans made laws making it illegal to intentionally abuse, neglect, or "starve to death" an animal.
It is NOT a fact of what Terri's wishes were. We know this because it is in dispute.

How ironic that a person so concerned about animals will blythely condemn a human to a death so cruel that if it were inflicted on an animal, the person who did it would go to jail.

I don't know if you're a vegan, but are you sure you're Catholic?

FWIW in this country, ANIMALS had protection from abuse prior to that being extended to children. In fact the first child abuse case was brought under the assumption that the child was also an animal and thus deserved the same consideration as a dog or cat or horse. We assume that all sentient beings wish to live and not to suffer. Why would we assume Terri would want to be starved and dehydrated to death if we would assume a dog would not?

Umm... I don't know! It must be because the child was black, and racist KKK George Dubya Bush heard about it but didn't care... just because the child was BLACK! If it was a white person, things would be totally different, right?!
