I would like to thank Mr Lieberman.
I do wonder, though: why do we have to actively seek out & find people that are simply speaking the truth about doing the right thing?? Shouldn't that be what we should expect people to do?

Unfortunately, I do not expect it on the Democrat side. We have an entire party that represents pro-death.

We have a country that represents pro-death.There is more than enough blame to go around.
But then, that is my point. once upon a time (when I was in school &when dinosaurs still roamed the earth),we could expect moral leadership--even from people whose personal morals/theology were either repugnant, or simply missing. That was because we demanded it of them.
Tragically, I find it astonishing when I see any evidence of moral leadership at all--as in Mr Lieberman's remarks, as when the US congress meets in special session to try to help Terri Schiavo. As much as I appreciate these efforts, I would prefer them to be the norm, not the exception.
This lack is apparent in all parts of the political spectrum.
God bless.

No. That's too broad brushing it. I'd agree with an assessment that the Republicans have been too cowardly in the face of death promotion but they do have a general philosophy that favors life and they have many senators and representatives that give stirring talks that favor life which the media chooses not to cover.

BUt one could at least concede that pro-abort, pro-gay marriage advocates have been sneaking into the RNC, and the RNC leadership hasn't fussed much about it.

I do concede that. But there are those that want to use this as justification for voting for a Democrat when their party's modus operandi is promotion of death and perversion. We cannot equivocate impaired judgement and cowardice with promotion of evil.

If it were not for Democrats, the wording in the Federal law would have been that the Federal courts SHALL review the facts. Instead, to get it passed unanimously in the Senate, the wording was changed to MAY review the facts. And, in the House, many Democrats made a stink about trying to stop forced starvation of an innocent person.
