Re: Mass for Terri
Thank you, Father, for walking with us as Jesus did in Emmaus. We needed the words He gave you. Thank you for teaching us His ways.

Re: Mass for Terri
Here in Australia, in my parish, we offered Mass for Terri on Friday and again at all of the Sunday Masses this weekend.
What we have witnessed has been something I never want to see again, but there is good as well as the bad. Over the Easter period I constantly found myself relating the Scriptures that we were reading to Terri's situation. There has been throughout the last days of this drama a heightened awareness of not only the suffering of Therese but also the suffering of Jesus as He was arrested, accused, found guilty though innocent, tortured and killed on the Cross. Terri's sufferings were joined to the Cross, and we must remember that she has not died in vain.
At the same time we witnessed the sudden final illness of our PAPA, John Paul 11. His was a death with dignity, and it was the death which God wanted. On the other side of the world, barely 48 hours beforehand Terri died without dignity. She was murdered.
