Re: "Conclave" of Catholic Answers participants
[quote=jrabs]OK I've compiled the entire list of Cardinals for the conclave as suggested by all the posts. As you can see, we have room for a few more last minute Cardinals. I did not alpha them - because I like lists with no semblance of order! And the comments I gleaned from the posts as well.
Faithful and crazy bunch of people, here goes:

Jen, this is hysterical. You are the hardest working poster. I declare ( With no real authority) that Jen has to have some pretigious position no matter who is declared Pope.

yeah - well as you can see I'm not particularly busy today. And even if I was, I'd always have time to fit in a useless list.
Now VOTE on - folks!

Jenn has a prestigeous position already, she is VP of the Curmudgeon Club!!! How much more do you want. If I am made pontifidgeon, she will be co-captain of the Swiss Guard with Lance and Edwin1961

Cigars are wonderful. My dad and grandfather both smoked them (and neither died of lung cancer, either). . .
I love the smell of a fine cigar, an old brandy, French perfume. . .and Swiss chocolates!

smoke up. We're all locked in here together until this Pontificate is hashed out. Thank goodness we have Roy as a Cardinal to cook for us as we decide.

I once heard an anecdote that when Pope Pius X offered a visitor a cigar, the visitor said, "No thank you. I don't have that vice."
And the Pope replied: "If it were a vice, I wouldn't be offering it."

Plus we have all those official chocolate seals for the Swiss Guard we could eat if need be. The ones that Tantum was talking about.

Well, errr, if you didn't get the memo. Swiss Chocolates was the name we were considering for naming the female Swiss Guards.

too many to vote on but all worthy Cardinals to lead us somewhere...God only knows where.
and in no order :
Fergal - as an Irish Cardinal, he has an awesome devotion to Our Blessed Mother
Dumspirospero - we need sharp, smart, politically savvy, devout younger folk who can take the reins from us slightly older folk
mtr01 - postings impress the heck out of me
Brad - great mix of politics, apologetics and devotion to the faith
Michael C - always clear headed, family oriented and devout
MrS - great on the apologetics side with a sassy (in a good way) bite at times.
Richardols - postings impress the heck out of me. I just enjoy reading his posts
Scott Waddell - clear headed defender of the faith
itsjustdave1988 - I like the way he writes. He has a way of stating things in a clear concise way.
Swampfox - addresses the issues of the day and draws our attention to the religious impact
Cestusdei - not because he is our resident priest - but because he does not back down when defending our beautiful, rich true faith.
Edwin1961 - Our Eastern Cardinal - packing both amazing humor and knowledge into his posts
Scott Lafrance/and his side kick Apologia100 - polished Apologetics skills, nutty as a fruitcake, and awesome family values.
RoyMckenzie - passionate about family life and the unborn -
Geezerbob - he can defend the faith like few I have seen. He will not stop until the non-believers have seen the truth.
Lance - kind and compassionate faithfilled family man - does not back down
JimO - kind and compassionate faithfilled family man, prayer warrior
Church Militant - Look at his name? Need I asy more? He can get me laughing and make his point perfectly clear as he defends the faith.
Nightrider - postings impress the heck out of me. I just enjoy reading his posts
BLBOregon - postings impress the heck out of me. I just enjoy reading his posts
gilliam - always bringing the current events to the forefront and showing us the faith angle.
sweetchuck - he's sharp and devout and got youth on his side, along with Dum. They need to carry the ball for the longer haul.
dhgray - he is a great promoter of the family and groups that support the family
just 94 more for me to name...let me think.
