Default CCC First Edition

Hey,
I clean a church at night and sometimes I see some books in the trash, if they are in decent enough condition i take them out and donate them to a local book charity. Most are Catholic books and I do so in hope that someone out there may want them to grow in faith.

Anyways I found a Catechism of the Catholic Church 1st edition (the blue cover one instead of the white 2nd edition we have now) Is it ok to donate this or is it to out of date and should be disposed of?

Thank you

I would donate it (me personally) because I am a weirdo and like to read previous editions of books. I bought a New Testament (Catholic edition with prayers) that was given out to troops during WW2, at a yard sale. Love em

The changes between CCC 1E and CCC 2E were pretty small, overall. They're both excellent and occasionally imperfect guides to our Faith.

There's no need to dispose of it, so, if you can find someone who would accept a copy, by all means, go ahead and donate it. But there's also no urgent need to keep it around, if trashing it is easier.
