For all who suffer the debilitating illnesses and loss of normal cognitive functions.

PRAYER
FOR A SICK PERSON # 3
O Good St. Anne
you who cured the sick
and laid a healing hand upon the lame,
the blind, and the crippled,
look with compassion upon me in my trouble.

If it is not God's Will to cure me,
give me strength to bear my burden
and offer it up to Him,
who suffered so much for me.

Give me grace to offer my sufferings
in union with Jesus',
in reparation for my sins and those of others,
for the needs of this troubled world,
and for the release of the souls in purgatory.

O Good St. Anne, compassionate mother,
pray for your weary child.

Amen.

Memorare (Prayer to Our Lady)
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

Loving God,

We lift up our intentions for all your children suffering from Alzheimers and dementia, and ask for your mercy and blessings for each of them, their care givers, and their family members. Lord, please help ensure all the care givers and family members who tend to people in this condition are strengthened for the challenge as they care for what is a shell of the person they know and love. Please help them to treat the afflicted persons with compassion and dignity during these times of great trial and challenge in their lives. We know you love each of us, and will not give anyone more that they can bear, so we ask you to continue to help all of us to share your love with these suffering persons in these most difficult times. Please help the family members to remain united and to respect the care givers who face the greatest challenge in these situations.

We pray in the name of your beloved son Jesus, empowered by your Holy Spirit, who live and reign with you, one God for ever and ever.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.
