DSister,

I did order it on the 30th, Thursday, and after only a few hours Amazon.co.uk emailed saying that they had shipped it.
The expected delivery date is October 21, but I have realistic hopes it will come sooner.

The only thing I have read by Pope Benedict is Spe Salvi and I admit that I did not get much out of it. He's too smart for me. I would probably never have attempted to read anything of his again, except this book club seemed a good opportunity.

GraceSofia,
You are very welcome!
And I understand completely,...my week hasn't been going that well either! But keep your chin up, all of this will be water under the bridge when our books get here!

James, have you gotten your books yet??

Catholictiger,
Sounds like a profitable way to spend your time
while you wait to read the coming book! If the truth be known,...it probably takes a second reading to really understand it! I find that when I get to where I can explain it, then I really know what I have read! Is it that way with you?

Hi "Cathoictiger!"

Well, GraceSofia was the last person that we were waiting on and I see that she has received her book so I guess its a go!!
Now for my question; just how do we go about doing this? As you can imagine, I am not speeding through the pages, so it would be a great "heads-up" to know what to pay attention to!! Just having read through the first chapter I can see that my mental abilities do not remotely resemble the Pope's! And he's 85 yrs. old!!

James, any words of advice on how to proceed? AND with those few words I guess we will go on in to the discussion! So,...men (and all you women that are ready) take it away!!

I have my book and am ready to start. I agree with DesertSister, this will not be a fast read.

Thumbs up Re: Current Book Discussion -

Hello DS & Everyone,
I do believe we all have our books, I think. So, as we read, just write down questions we might have, important facts or things that really stand out and we will discuss them. Lets use the other thread for questions and if need be, we can start other threads as we go along. OK ? !
Alright, lets have at it.
