Last post to a thread missing?
On some threads it shows that there was a new poster and the thread is highlighted like there is a new post. Like this thread http://forums.catholic.com/showthrea...65#post7143265 shows that ByzCath was the last poster, but his post appears to be missing and when you use the "first new post" button or the "last post" button it just takes me to the top of the last page.
This is not the only thread I have noticed this either.

On occasion, I've posted and then changed my mind for whatever reason and deleted some of my own posts. I think e-mail notifications are sent out immediately, so if a poster deletes their own post as I sometimes do, others may still receive a notification for a post that is no longer there. I know I've received notifications regarding posts from others, then I go to that thread and nothing new is there, or nothing new from that particular poster is there. Maybe the same kind of thing applies with the situation you describe above, the post is reflected in the thread list even if it is no longer there?

hmm, perhaps though I have not subscribed to the thread, I was merely following along the thread.

Yes, it was doing it a few days a go. Don't re-post, it will catch up or be fixed.

I understand that, but maybe the same kind of thing applies with the post being reflected in the thread list, even if it that particular post isn't there anymore? I don't know, I was just guessing.

Well, then, I guess I am completely wrong. Again, I was just speculating and guessing. Obviously.
