Smile Rosary Garden?

*I am not sure if this was the right place for this question so feel free to move if needed.*

I am interested in making a "Rosary Garden" in my backyard. I will purchase globe evergreens for the "Hail Marys" and probably rose bushes for the "Our Fathers". I tried to get ideas on the web but didn't come up with much. Does anyone have a rosary garden..or perhaps can share ideas/suggestions? I don't want to "jump" into this project without really having a "plan" first. Thanks

What a wonderful project! I would recommend a website called ¨Mary´s Gardens¨ that should be of help to you. You can visit the site at the url below.

All the best to you on this very holy project.

God bless

Another good resource is www.rosarygarden.org.

There is an article describing the general layout as well as the use and significance of various plants and flowers -- http://www.rosarygarden.org/about/the-garden/

There is also a gallery with a variety of images -- http://www.rosarygarden.org/multimedia/gallery/

Finally, there is a zoomable aerial photograph -- http://www.rosarygarden.org/garden-b...find-my-brick/ (wait briefly to load)

What a wonderful idea.

Queen of Heaven cemetary in Illinois (across from Mount Carmel cemetary) has the most beautiful Rosary Garden that I have ever seen. They might very well have pictures of it on their website.

I hope you will take pictures when yours is cpmplete.

Neat idea! St. Joseph's oratory in Montreal has a stations of the cross garden. You could check their website for inspiration, it's really lovely.

My idea is for a summer LOTH oratory in the garden to complement my indoor oratory.

Cool, wish I had the space for that -- I'm plotting turning one corner of the back yard into a Mary garden this Spring. I'd like some place I can sit and pray (my knees don't work well enough anymore to kneel) in good weather.

This is the first time I've heard of a rosary garden dailey and I'm in love with the idea, thanks for sharing that here! I have a few months ahead of me yet before I can start planting a garden, but I'll have fun thinking about this in the cold winter weeks ahead

There is a hugh beautiful Rosary Garden in Queen of Heaven cemetary in Illinois. The first time I happened upon it the garden took my breath away. The graves in that garden are placed in such a way that they are used as the mysteries. It is just beautiful. I am thinking of making a small Rosary Garden in my backyard too.
