Default The Time is Short

Like many of you, I feel that God is warning us that the time to repent and return to Christ's Church is short. Way too many things are happening in the world for us to discount or ignore God's warnings. Whether or not Pope Benedict XVI is a fulfillment of St. Malachy's prophecy is irrelevant, but teaching pure and uncorrupted doctrine in a time before great judgment is not.

What I see so many in our world doing today is defining their own morality. This is exactly what condemned every sinner in Dante's Inferno: sinners could not repent of their sins because they could not recognize them and consequently they are condemned for eternity. How much does this sound like our world today when people call murdering an innocent unborn child a "choice"--not a sin?

I have believed for a while now that the breaking of the 7 seals in the book of Revelation is the violating of the 7 sacraments and the corruption of true doctrine against that taught by Christ's One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. Since the Reformation, each of these seals has been violated: baptism, penance, Eucharist, confirmation, marriage, holy orders, and anointing of the sick by various Protestant "churches." How much longer do we have?

Yes, we should place our hope in Christ, but we should also do what we can to lead others to Him while we still have time.

Frankly...at my age that isn't saying much! But good thought. I'll work on it for the next few I have left.

No offense, but all these prophecies and end times predictions really are meaningless. I mean, shoot, I could die tomorrow. So whether my death or the Second Coming happens first is really inconsequential. We should always be ready.

I will start prayers for conversion today and invite all who are moved to do the same.

By the way, Christ gave his end of the world discourse on the Mount of Olives--some say coincidence; others say Providence.

Thank you John Paul the Great for praying for us and preparing us to "Be not afraid."
