Default We're a forum!!!

We now have 11 members, and can post threads. In response to an inquiry by bschneid, I'd like to look into the question of vacuum fluctuations/uncertainty principle/and what's involved. If anyone else has good ideas for threads, shoot the moon!
Thanks to all of you.
Anselm

I can't wait to see your next post! It's so great to have a professional physicist with us.

I'm on a steep learning curve. To review quantum field theory and quantum fluctuations, went back and looked at the notes (from 1953) of Schwinger's Advanced QM, looked in Penrose's book, "The Road to Reality", Allday's book "Quantum Reality:Theory and Philosophy", Vilenkin's original article on the creation of multiverses, and some other papers recommended by a Christian cosmologist (no, that is not an oxymoron) from the University of Alberta. I have the feeling (not yet supported by sound reasoning) that Creation as a super quantum fluctuation violates all sorts of physical and metaphysical principles, but if that's correct, why haven't other people brought up objections? Is it like "The Emperor's new clothes"? More later.
Blessings,
anselm

Guess I'm also on some kind of a learning curve since I often run in circles.

I've started reading
New Proofs for the Existence of God: Contributions of Contemporary Physics and Philosophy by Robert J. Spitzer, S.J., Ph.D. ISBN: 978-0-8028-6383-6

So far, I am getting used to the vocabulary of physics. Father Spitzer must understand my limitations because he puts a brief explanation in (....). Do hope he continues this practice.

Aha, I had to use Google quite a bit when I read it myself. Then again, I'm a pretty young guy to be reading a book like this.
