Angry Google 'Catholic Priests' in Images....

See what you come across. It's darn blasphemy and I can't take it anymore. I was just comparing some good photos of Orthodox and Catholic priests before I come across various pictures of pedophilic content.

Can we report this to google in any way?

I haven't clicked on it but I'll tell ya, this sort of thing really boils my blood. How do you report something to google?

I could be wrong, but I don't really think that Google is in the business of censoring their search results, except in rather extreme cases. Moreover, they don't handpick the images or websites that show up in their results--they use an algorithm. If something is in the Google results, it's because that something is on the Internet.

That said, you can report images as offensive. But my understanding of how this process works is that they will use this data to further develop their SafeSearch filter (which only works if you have it turned on, by the way). It does not mean they will remove those images from the search results.

This post on the GoogleSystem blog explains how to report images if you want to: http://googlesystem.blogspot.com/200...s-results.html

However, if you're really that offended by seeing this stuff, why don't you just set your SafeSearch settings to "strict"? That should filter out most of the stuff that would be considered objectionable.

Edit: I also found this: http://images.google.com/support/bin...&answer=112750 On that website, you can find a link to request that websites be removed from their search results. Let me know if you have any success with this. I'd be interested in learning about what type of criteria something has to meet in order for Google to declare it "too offensive for the Internet." I say that because there's a lot of really offensive stuff on the Internet that Google seems to deem completely acceptable.

Well. The internet is a pretty disgusting place guys. And you can stumble across vile things even on strict.

In general I find that Microsoft Bing search - especially for pictures - is much better because they don't have nearly as much improper material as Google. Google doesn't seem to censor anything at all even if you have SafeSearch at the Strict setting while on Bing I hardly see any inappropriate pictures, and that's why I consider to use Bing more and more.

Be inspired by the offensive images you find to pray for the sanctification & perseverance of priests. Let them inspire you to pray that more men will answer the call to follow closely in the footsteps of Christ as His holy priests. Remember in the days of the early Church, that the cross- a symbol of torture, humiliation, and defeat- was turned into a symbol of salvation, glory, and hope.

From my experience, I would advise no one to search up keywords like "Catholic Priests" or "Nuns" or anything religious. You are asking for trouble!!! It can and will be an occasion for sin. I have fallen many times by sarcastically searching up terms like that and ending up being trapped in the lure of the devil.
Even if someone upsets you on television.. do not use the internet to look them up, just take it to prayer.

Please do not search religious terms in Google images or any image section of a search engine..

Images of paedophilia? As in, actual child porn or images which have captions saying the priests are paedophiles?

If the search is actually coming up with child porn or similar, its a serious thing and should be reported to Google because its illegal. ISPs are meant to block them at source, so any websites containing such images should be blocked by law - at least in the UK.
