Default Space for bio on "about me" page

It seems to me that the allotted space for bio information is entirely too short. Many members have inspiring stories that are not being posted, due to lack of space. Perhaps the bio section could link to a pure text page, or is the "album" area better used for this?

I almost never look at profiles, and I certainly wouldn't bother to read a lengthy autobiography. I am not alone. That's probably why so little space is available for it.
