Prayer On The Anniversary of Roe v Wade

On the sorrowful anniversary of Roe v Wade most of us will not be able to participate in either of the two national marches in DC and SF. We all, however, have access to the most powerful weapon available in the struggle to overcome abortion - prayer, IMHO a very under utilized resource.

Most parishes will be holding some type of Right To Life mass and, hopefully, a period for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. The greater the participation nationwide, the louder will be our cry to God for justice for our unborn brothers and sisters in Christ.

This prayer was composed by my wife and myself and is posted on our website. Most Holy Trinity, hear my prayer for Your Divine Assistance
In our struggle to overcome the scourge of abortion plaguing our nation

I pray to You Eternal Father
For the repentance and conversion of all people involved in the abortion industry
Including our public officials who enable and support abortion in our country

I pray to Our Lord Jesus Christ to grant His compassionate forgiveness and merciful healing
To all who repent of, and grieve for, their participation in abortion

I pray that the Holy Spirit may touch the souls of all women contemplating abortion
May their hearts become filled with a mother's natural love for her child
And may they become aware of all the evils and horrible realities which abortion entails

I pray that the Blessed Virgin Mary, mother of Jesus
May open the hearts and minds of all people who have been misled on the truth abortion

May we all come together, Almighty Father, in defense of Your helpless unborn children
Our brothers and sisters in Christ
