Default How to use Lourdes water?

A good friend of mine gifted me today with Lourdes Water. I have just opened the jar for the first time and she is right, it does smell like the grotto. Anyway, we are having similar problems and she thought it might help me. I was wondering how I should best use the Lourdes water. How is it different from Holy Water? Should I use it in the same way? Does everyone have any experiences with Lourdes water you would like to share?

Even though it's from Lourdes it's not holy water until it's blessed by a priest. Once that happens you can use it the same ways holy water that comes from anywhere can be used. And to clarify I'm not trying to discount the importance of the apparitions that took place in Lourdes, I believe in them and the other Church approved Marian Apparitions.

If the water is genuine from Lourdes, France you should use it in Faith the same way you would use Holy Water from the Church. Again Faith is the key word here.

Secondly; the official grotto font water from Lourdes has been blessed by our Holy Blessed Mother Mary the Immaculate Conception. If you believe that in Faith then use the blessed Holy Water from Lourdes in Faith.

Peace
Chris
