Re: The Faithfully Departed: Memories and Prayers
Four of my classmates have lost classmates in the last two months. I pray that God grants them mercy and that their souls have joined Him in heaven.
Eternal rest grant unto them, Oh Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
I also pray for the families as they go through the grieving process... in each case, the parent that passed was their last parent. I know only too well how hard it is to lose your last one.

For my mother Maria de Jesus Avila. May she rest in peace. She was a perfect example of the Lords love and I am thankful to have her as my mother. I love you mom and I love you Lord for blessing me with her.

Re: The Faithfully Departed: Memories and Prayers
I dedicate this post in memory of the martyr Shahbaz Bhatti who was killed because of his Catholic faith and his work on behalf of Pakistani minorities. Almighty God thank you for Shahbaz Bhatti and the wonderful example he has left all Catholics. May he now enjoy his place at the heavenly banquet and may your light shine upon him forever and ever amen.

Re: The Faithfully Departed: Memories and Prayers
My Mother in Law passed away unexpectedly last October. She was a loving mother, wanted to convert to Catholic Faith and start going to my Church for her husbands sake, who was a fallen-away Catholic. Now he goes every Sunday. God bless you Mom! Thank you for continuing to love us from Heaven....oh, and btw...Thanks for the Gone with the Wind DVD.

Re: The Faithfully Departed: Memories and Prayers
Loving God,
We lift up in prayer our intentions for the repose of the soul of Father Joe Tagg. Please bring Father Joe home dear Lord to that special place Jesus has prepared in your house for him.
Amen.

And I especially pray for all those who have no one praying for them.

Re: The Faithfully Departed: Memories and Prayers
For my Great Great Grandfather, we finally discovered his true cause of death and discovered his final resting place in the last 2 weeks
Sé do bheatha, a Mhuire, atá lán de ghrásta,
tá an Tiarna leat.
Is beannaithe thú idir mná
Agus is beannaithe toradh do bhroinne, íosa.
A Naomh-Mhuire, a Mháthair Dé,
guigh orainn na peacaigh,
Anois agus ar uair ár mbáis. Amen.
