Unhappy Please pray for our priest!!!

He is a good and holy priest, very dedicated, very orthodox, strict and yet humble. I have never seen the Mass celebrated so reverently as when he presides, and I've visited a good number of parishes. He has inspired me so much, and I don't doubt that later on, should our Lord call some of the boys in the parish, they will think of Monsignor and answer "yes". But I digress...

My worry is that he is ill... I've just found out from overhearing some of the parishioners, and he's also been using a cane recently (he's not that old either, 60-something) and I'm sure I saw him limping... He's got so much on his plate, not just running the parish but also being the Vicar for Health Care in the diocese and having lost his mum recently, and now this. I don't know exactly what it is that's wrong, but something is... I know it's selfish, but I don't want him to be taken away from us... Please please please pray for his health and peace of mind! Pray that his trust in the Lord may not falter in his suffering and that he will by God's grace continue to serve Him and His people... or, just please, pray for him...

Maybe I'm blowing this all out of proportion, but it's obvious that he is ill with something, and well, there's no such thing as too much prayer, right?

O Mary, Health of the Sick, pray for him...

......you got it
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help or sought your intercession was left unaided. Inspired with with confidence, I fly to you, O virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen.
I wish you Peace

God bless YOU too cradle - for being devoted to your shephard.
I also love my priest. I think the Holy Spirit moves us to love them and pray for them. My priest is a holy and devoted man also, but sometimes not all that loveable, but I still love him.

Dear Lord, I pray for this man, your servant, and for all your priests, that you will supply them with sufficient graces to carry out the tasks you lay before them, with the assistance of the Holy Spirit and Our Lady.

Dear St. Raphael, the arc angle,
Please go to this priest and mend his physical ailment, in God's will.

St. Gabriel, the arc angle,
Please go to him and fill him with God's grace and peace, in His will.

St. Michael, the arc angle,
Please watch over and protect him, from the evil one and give him peace of min, in God's will.

Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank you for your holy priest,
Please be with him in his hour of need and bring him safely home to you, when it is in your will.

In Jesus name I pray.

Amen.

He will be in my prayers. A good priest is a treasure. Say have you thought about sending him a card just expressing that your thoughts and prayers are with him? He may not be ready to divulge health concerns if any but certainly everyone appreciates prayers.

Thank you so much for the outpouring of prayers. May God bless you also!

You know how we can offer the Mass for someone? Can we do this with the Divine Office too?

I don't know about sending him a card, though... Wouldn't he think I'm crazy if I were the only one to do so? I dunno, maybe I should just stay hidden and keep praying. Can anyone recommend a good novena??

Kyrie eleison...

Send him a card. It's been my observation, and experience, that priests do not get shown enough of those special kindnesses. I try to make it a point to e-mail or drop notes in the mail to special priests who've touched my life, and just say, "...Just wanted to let you know I'm praying for you, and so grateful for your ministry..." You wouldn't even have to go into the whole "I noticed you've been limping" aspect.
