I'm sure every archdiocese and parish are different, but in my parish, although Reconciliation is regularly held only on Saturday nights for 30 minutes prior to mass, we can call any priest in our parish at any time to schedule a time for private confession if we don't want to wait until Saturday. Many in our parish do exactly that. Also, our archdiocese has a website archstl.org where we can find listings of every parish in the entire archdiocese, and we can search to find a list of every parish offering the Sacrament of Reconciliation eacy day of the week. It details a list of parishes within a certain mile radius of your home with all mass times and all Reconciliation times. Both mass and Reconciliation are offered every day of the week somewhere within 20 minutes of my home.

Don't give up. Keep searching until you receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation so that you can continue to receive the Eucharist... daily if you wish.

Peace to you.

I recite the three Hail Mary's morning and night. This is an awesome and effective tool in combating Impurity. This is a virtuous habit that has been practiced by a great many saints.

It is not a Catholic website, but it is a Christian website, and I haven't seen anything against Catholic teachings there, but I'm no expert on Catholic teachings.

No more porn is good but what if such sites just attract onlookers ready to read the testimonials out of curiosity. Is it positive?

I just discovered this thread today by doing a search. I was trying to figure out what happened to Ken Henderson's trueknights.org website. (Does anyone know what has become of it? It seems like an empty shell, and it has been that way for a while, I think.)

Anyway, here's my situation. A couple of days ago my husband and I took in an 18-year-old boy, a high school senior, rescuing him from what seemed to be an abusive situation with his parents. (His 20-year-old sister has been living with us for three months. Our empty nest just got filled.)

I was just using our computer and noticed some porn sites in the recently viewed history in Internet Explorer. I want to nip this in the bud.

Can any of you recommend websites for battling impurity that are reliable but NOT specifically Catholic? He is not Christian, his adoptive parents raised him Jewish (but I don't think religion is a major part of his life). I'd love to share my faith with him over time, if the Holy Spirit gives me the right opening, but for now I doubt he'd respond well to a Catholic site.

He also tried to install a rather violent video game on the computer. Looks like I have my work cut out for me, and I'm in uncharted territory. (I raised daughters, not sons, and my husband might not be on the same page as I am about this, as he is a non-believer and might brush it off as harmless.)

Any advice would be welcome. God bless you all!

I'm still a big fan of the youth-oriented and Catholic Answers-affiliated chastity.com. My school went to go see a presentation by Jason Evert, who works for Catholic Answers, and I found it really quite enjoyable. Since then I've watched and listened to numerous presentations he's done from the site.

Default List of Catholic Websites for Battling Impurity

Thanks for the mention of againstlust.blogspot.com/.

Unfortunately Trueknight's forum has not been available for a few months. Founder and moderator, Ken H., had health problems and I suppose, related financial difficulties that I believe took their toll. Please pray for him and his family. Ken had done an excellent job with TK.

Due to the apparent loss of TK and problems at CSGSAR (http://www.saint-mike.org/csgsar/default.asp) a couple of former TK members are starting a Catholic site and discussion forum at couragetobechaste.com.

Consider REV. DR.JOHN J. MULVEY's site http://www.counselingfamilies.com/. He is a Catholic priest.

There are some excellent resources in Christian sites that you could consider as well. I really like the Every Man's Series, including the book, Every Man's Battle. They hold the reader to a very high moral standard, something Catholics will appreciate as well. I especially recommend this for beginners. http://www.everymansbattle.com/
Their online community is here.

xxxchurch is different to say the least.

Dr Reisman's site is excellent. http://www.drjudithreisman.com She presents very compelling scientific information.
This article in particular got my attention, especially around p. 20. A must-read for anyone tempted by porn.
