Extremely Worried
I have posted prayer requests in the past about finding employment, and the prayers have not yet been answered. Because of this, my bank account is becoming more and more empty and I find myself terrified that I may not be able to afford my car insurance or gas anymore and then what will I do? I need a car to find a job, and I need a job to afford my car. I'm on day 5 of my novena to St. Joseph, and I am desperate. It's driving me crazy with worry. I know Jesus said not to worry, but how can I not? I have bills that must be paid and I only have enough to cover this month's insurance and then I will have to start selling things, which I'm going to do anyway. PLEASE PRAY FOR ME TO FIND EMPLOYMENT! I am scared!

Re: Extremely Worried
When He got into the boat, His disciples followed Him. And behold, there arose a great storm on the sea, so that the boat was being covered with the waves; but Jesus Himself was asleep. And they came to Him and woke Him, saying, "Save us, Lord; we are perishing!" He said to them, "Why are you afraid, you men of little faith?" Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and it became perfectly calm. The men were amazed, and said, "What kind of a man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?" Matthew 8:23-27
Father of All, please turn Your attention to DaughterOfMary6's cry for help. Let her know the salvation of Your Son. Let your Holy Spirit comfort her mind and heart, so she will find peace. Open all the doors for her to find employment, and let all obstacles dissolve, so that she can be hired to work and be able to work. In the name of Jesus Christ.

Re: Extremely Worried
Thank you so much for your prayers. I had a good cryout and it made me feel better to release the tension. I've also been taking long walks with my mom in the evenings to just mellow out and get some exercise. Sometimes, I just have to get my mind off things. It does no good to worry about it all the time.

Re: Extremely Worried
Including you and your intentions in my daily prayers. Just keep trusting in the Lord, and keep praying. He and His Mother see your situation and will do what is best for you...
Jesus, King of Mercy. We trust in You!
We take refuge under thy protection, holy Mother of God; do not despise our prayers for 'Daughter of Mary' in time of her dire necessity, but free her from all dangers, o blessed and glorious Virgin. Amen.

Re: Extremely Worried
DoM6,
Many years ago I was in something of a similar situation. I had lost my Job and had not found a new one. My unemployment was just about to run out. I had only one more weeks worth to collect. I had not been going to Church and so I went to mass that Sunday.
That very week I got a job.
Sometimes God has some pretty big things he wants us to learn.
May God grant you courage and peace.
Most Holy and Almighty Father.
Grant that our Sister, your daughter, find work that fulfills her need for daily bread and through which she may give Glory to your Holy Name.
We ask this in the name of your Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Amen.
Peace
James

Re: Extremely Worried
I'll say a prayer for your intentions tonight, and wish you peace and renewed strength in your search for a job.

Re: Extremely Worried
Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Praying for you, Daughter of Mary! Trust in Jesus - He knows what He is about even if things look desperate and He will never abandon you.

Re: Extremely Worried
Thank you all for your prayers. I had a crying spell today because I just had to let the stress be released. It does no good for me to bottle it up because I have a problem with doing that and then exploding. I was referred to a 30 day prayer to St. Joseph which I intend to pray after I finish the 9 day novena.

Re: Extremely Worried
That's good. I've found it helpful to do that in the past also, because penting it up can be dangerous. And good for you with the novenas! I think Saint Joseph is often overlooked - I've been guilty of it myself - possibly because he is 'the silent saint'.
Prayers for you!
