Social groups email notification
I believe an email notification for posts on social groups is badly needed here.

Re: Social groups email notification
So for those who use social groups all the time they have to visit each group every second/hour/day to check if there is a new post?
Oh, an email notification is badly needed. Pleassssssssssssssseeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Re: Social groups email notification
I would find that more useful than email notification of forum posts since I rarely check the social groups. Its a bad habit, I know.

Re: Social groups email notification
I would much prefer a PM (or maybe allowing is to choose between a PM or an email)

Re: Social groups email notification
Do our CAF Admins ever have a look at the suggestions made in this section of CAF? At least they could comment on the suggestions. I mean, there are a lot of suggestions here that make sense but one can't tell if our CAF guys even look at them or not.
It would be nice for us to know whether or not they are going to implement or change something suggested. Then they could close the threads and we move on. Why leave almost all the suggestion threads open and unanswered?
I believe most social groups end up dead simply because:
1. Some people think that they will get notified of group posts. And they believe no notification => no new group post.
2. Belonging to many social groups makes it extremely difficult to manually check each group for new posts. And if a couple of repeated checks turns out to be unfruitful, the assumption is that the group is dead. And this results to some group members becoming inactive, which in turn kills the interactivity of the group.
