For all their legal wrangling and bickering, the NFL, owners, and players are not stupid. There will be a truncated preseason, but the season and the Superbowl are as safe and secure as the Right to abortion is within the Democrat Party.

Who would have thought to oil dudes from Wichita Kansas that few people have ever heard of that don't own any media outlets would have so much sway? Some claim its their money but they've spent about as much on media and think tanks in the last 20 years as the Obama campaign spent on advertising for one month during the 2008 election cycle. Some call them right wing George Soros' types except they'd have to increase their spendign by 20 or 30 fold to hit that level.

Ya, you know, I have a real problem with the American power brokers going to have a cloistered meeting at a sequestered location (it isn't secret anymore, nothing is with the internet, just ask Anthony Weiner) discussing important things in secret. I wish that Perry would have gone and then when he got back to Texas, had a press conference and spilled the beans.
