Ethics group calls for FBI investigation into Rep. Laura Richardson (D-CA)
From the Washington Post
An ethics watchdog group is calling for the FBI to conduct a criminal investigation into Rep. Laura Richardson (D-Calif.)
Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington announced Tuesday that it has obtained internal e-mails from Richardson’s office that the group says shows the California Democrat forced her congressional staff to work on and contribute to her campaign. Richardson denies the allegations.
“Internal emails regarding a fundraising event dubbed ‘Democratic Idol’ show Richardson Chief of Staff Shirley Cooks told employees they were required to attend the event, wearing staff shirts embroidered with the phrase ‘37th Congressional District,’” CREW said in a statement Tuesday. “In an email from her official House account, Ms. Cooks stated that spouses and interns were expected to attend as well.”
The group also charges that Richardson routinely required her staff to go on personal errands for her, such as picking up her dry cleaning.
What could possibly be wrong with forcing (taxpayer-salaried) staff to work on fundraising and re-election tasks? And what could possibly be wrong with having a staffer pick up her dry cleaning?

He'll find a legal loophole...I'm sure there were no "hostilities" involved.

Re: Ethics group calls for FBI investigation into Rep. Laura Richardson (D-CA)
(1) What about the Numerous, Flagrant Extreme violations of Ethics by Republican Senators, Governors, Congressmen lying about flagrant Sexual Affairs, even homosexual affair in Airport? Those are Extremly flagrant, all by the 'pro-life', 'family values' GOP Nationally Known. (2) It is Very Routine, Normal for a President to record a Relection/ Political commercial in the White House. ((3) What is wrong woth a member of Congress to have staff pick up laundry for her, or wear her Name at Issues public meeting outside Congress? (4) Give any reason for politiscians of right wing to lie that "SSA Is Bankrupt"? FICA Brings in More revenue For SSA than SSA Itself expends; is solvent for full benefit payments for 27 years.

Paragraphs are your friends.
So what is scenario I, scenario II, and scenario III in the above?
Scenario I is called the "Low Cost" scenario. It assumes that the fertility rate rises from 2.0 to 2.3, that the unemployment rate goes down to 4.5%, and that we increase the amount of legal immigration by about 30% per year (and all of those immigrants are productively employed). It also assumes that the death rate does not go down significantly, that inflation is virtually nonexistent, and that the bonds issued by the general fund to social security earn a high amount of interest. In other words, an optimistic view of everything that is utterly unrealistic.
Scenario II is the "Intermediate" scenario. It is identified as the most realistic scenario for all of the above factors.
Scenario III is the "high cost" scenario. As unrealistic as Scenario I is on the optimistic side, scenario III is overly pessimistic. It assumes, for example, that the fertility rate drops to 1.7, that the unemployment rate is 6.5% (well, maybe that is not so pessimistic), and that immigration drops.
Click here to view the associated text from the Social Security Trustees Report. Or you can click on this thumbnail to view the pertinent table:
The bottom line is that unless we all start reproducing like rabbits and die promptly at the age of 67, social security is going to be utterly without funds in the near future.
That isn't a republican politician saying this. That is the view of the Social Security Trustees in their 2011 annual actuarial report.
Regardless of what ThinkProgress would have you believe.
(Oh, and by the way, as far as corrupt Republicans...throw them all in jail and let the bums rot)

(1)The Graph you furnished are pure Speculation, false ones, especially the Disability part. By Definition, one has to be Under age 65 and medically incapable of work, to qualify for OADI. (2) Honest Data, opposite of the false propaganda that SSA "Is Bankrupt", etc: Full SSA Benefits can be paid for 2 more Decades.
