List of Catholic Online/Distance Education graduate degrees
Hello everyone!
I'm compiling a list of Catholic seminaries/colleges/universities that offer graduate degrees via distance, online, or intensives and wanted to see if we could get a thorough list together here.
So far, I've found:
The Franciscan University of Steubenville
http://www.franciscan.edu/DistanceLearning/
Catholic Distance University
http://cdu.edu/
The Augustine Institute
http://www.augustineinstitute.org/
Holy Apostles College and Seminary
http://www.holyapostles.edu/distance...tance-learning
All of these are accredited except the Augustine Institute.
Does anyone know of any other degree programs to add to this list? I think it would be helpful for those looking into ordained, lay ministry, academic ministry, or simply for personal spiritual enrichment, to compile as thorough a list as possible. I've been focusing on places that offer MAs, but adding schools that offer other degrees would be helpful too.
(Another fun source is the Catholic Home Study Service. They don't offer degrees or diplomas or certificates, just free correspondence courses for personal spiritual enrichment. I'm doing one of them now and thoroughly recommend it (another CAF person suggested it to me). It's great for newbie Catholics like me :

Re: List of Catholic Online/Distance Education graduate degrees
Thank you for this thread, Marie_Katherine! I had been thinking about asking just this type of information in a thread. The cheaper the courses, as far as I am concerned, the better. I am very restricted by finances.
I will be following this thread with interest.

Thanks for the additions everyone! I wonder if people have any experience with these institutions and could add feedback to the thread as well?
The USCCB put a together a list of accredited institutions offerings courses, certificates and degrees:

Are you wanting schools which have a degree/certificate in religion/theology/divinity, or just Catholic schools that have any online programming? If the former, that will narrow it down but if the latter there will likely be many of them.
Cheers!

Ditto - great thread. TS, one thing to note about Catholic Distance University: they have partnerships with various diocese. If yours is one of them, you might be able to take a seminar for as little as $30. The list of their partner dioceses is here.
If your budget is zero, then you can still get some great reading at Catholic Information Service, and they have free courses you can take as well (two online and one correspondence course).

Re: List of Catholic Online/Distance Education graduate degrees
I have tried all the above links to online theology courses. They all require me to be American. Is there any university that will allow a Canadian to take theology courses?
Thanks for the help.
