Have you ever taken a Catholic Answers cruise?
Have you/your family ever taken a cruise through Catholic Answers? There is a cruise coming up to Rome, this October, and it looks so fun!
Just curious if any of you have ever done this, before? It would be cool to meet some of you if there ever was an opportunity.
Just curious if you have, if you could share your experience. Patrick Madrid will be on the cruise coming up, by the way...

Not Patrick Madrid, Marcus Grodi...lol
I always confuse these two gentlemen, have no clue why.
Sorry.

Re: Have you ever taken a Catholic Answers cruise?
No, I haven't, but am so tempted!
I told fiance that after we're married, finish school, and find good jobs, and make a little extra money, he and I should do one of these cruises! Normally we're not cruise-people (much less Tom Cruise-people --too much sickness either way) but this would be worth it for us.
So I'm curious if anybody else had an experience with this, too

Re: Have you ever taken a Catholic Answers cruise?
I'm considering going on that October cruise. I would most likely be going solo, and I'm wondering if any other single folks go on these cruises.

Re: Have you ever taken a Catholic Answers cruise?
We're going on this cruise! Soooo excited! Marcus Grodi and Christopher Check and Karl Keating oh my! We're also going on the Pre-Cruise 'Little Known Rome'. It's all pretty pricey but I think it's a once in a lifetime opportunity. The religious history is going to be so amazing, and it'll be great to connect with other like-minded Catholics, we're in an area where there are so few traditional, orthodox Catholics.

Jea you are so blessed to have this opportunity. Good for you! I wanted to go, we are planning a relatively long trip to Pittsburgh this summer...I don't think we can do this trip ....It looks wonderful. You will have to post pics of it, when you return.

Re: Have you ever taken a Catholic Answers cruise?
I will! This really is an exciting opportunity. I'm very thankful that we're going to do it. I think that there is so much to learn; we will be visiting where Peter and Paul were imprisoned in Rome and we will even see the ancient ruins of Carthage. So amazing to be that close to history. I would have liked to do the Holy Land trip last year too...to walk where Jesus walked would be pretty awesome.

I want to go so bad. I was in Rome last Sept. and would give anything to go back. But I have a foot problem and have to wear a humongous boot. Otherwise, I would join all of you. I've never been on a cruise - what a wonderful one to do.

I've never been on any kind of a cruise, but it's something I've always wanted to do. Unfortunately, I'd feel odd going by myself.

I am sure you would meet a lot of Catholics who may be new cruise participants also. You have so much in common with all of these people. You should go if you can.

Baatar, cdanison makes a great point. If you are able financially to swing it, why not try it? I have a feeling you will have a blast. I so wish I could go, but it's just not in the cards with other trips we have planned for the year. I am thinking next year, if CAF offers another one. Are they yearly?

Re: Have you ever taken a Catholic Answers cruise?
The Holland America cruiselines are the only ships that have a Catholic priest on their ships. It is so much fun meeting the other Catholics who attend Mass everyday on the cruise ships. Lucy
