Thank you for sharing this story. It should not take a poll or statistics in a scientific article for people to understand the various problems that "progressive" attitudes and behaviors are causing.

There are so many variables and happiness is a slippery thing...
But I agree. As a "housewife" and a "volunteer" my contributions to the "economy" are non-monitary...and that's a hard thing in a society that values status and economic viability and competition.
We've been turned into consumers rather than humans--male or female. Where is the happiness in that?
