Could CAF staff please read posts before they are posted.

I feel there is an increasing number of "Posts 1" people who are slipping through the system and posting offensive and inappropriate posts.

These posts should be censored before they appear on this website.

It is too late once they are posted and while they may be reported the offensive post has been read.

Members on this outstanding website should be protected from that.

I don't think it would delay the 99.99 percent of honest posts too long and hopefully it wouldn't take up too much of your time.

Chris as the moderators tend to be American, the website being American in origin and management, unfortunately some unscrupulous posters take advantage of their time of sleep.
Yes, it's very frustrating at times!

Thanks Trishie.

It was a great family holiday on the road a couple of years ago.

We will never forget it and that photo is our computer background.

Thought the 12 apostles was appropriate for here as well.

I have moderating experience (not here, of course, to the joy of everyone...lol). The shear volume of posts makes moderating each post extremely impractical.

Cool Re: Please censor posts

No. We do not place new members in moderation as it actually frustrates the serious members from entering into discussions. It is sometimes used on smaller forums where the Mods are more often absent.

If you see a post that violates anything you see at this link, then you need only click the Bad Post Report button () in the upper right hand corner of the post and the mod staff, (some of whom are almost constantly on) will deal with it as needed. You might also post in the thread, simply saying, "REPORTED" so we don't get 90 gazillion complaints on the same post.

That's all that is needed...

There is no point in responding to their posts in any other way as that just adds to our work load and draws attention to the miscreant, which is what they want. It's often called "feeding the trolls", but we have a very fine staff that specializes in ...
