Catholic Heritage Curricula makes a lot of really good materials about virtues and good habits. They are technically a homeschooling curriculum provider, but most of their material could easily be used in a non-homeschooling household.
They have a series of books of short devotional/moral stories for kids called Devotional Stories for Little Folks
and Devotional Stories for Little Folks, Too.
The stories in them are about a family of kids and things they do to get in trouble and the lessons they learn. There is a lot about 'right away obedience' and learning that your parents have your best interests at heart because they can see the big picture, etc. It covers a LOT of different virtues. The reading level is probably 2nd grade or above, but it makes a great read aloud for the whole family and each story has a bible verse, quote from the catechism, and comprehension questions at the end.
We do a lot of stories like this. Good stories with good morals. THen we also work on ONE habit at a time. You might want to pick obedience first (we did).
There are some good virtue lessons here.
They are designed for homeschoolers but you could easily adapt them for non-homeschooling family life.
Just pick ONE thing and approach them like they are the painting and you are the master. You have to start small and be positive.
