GEddie's word was STERN.( post #1046 )
From STERN we get TURNS
From STERN we also get NESTS
And from STERN we also get NERDS
And that's how I did it!
One letter at a time from the base word STERN.
Which, I submit, is within the rules (and, I think, has been done before, thereby setting a precedent).
