Take the WYD Entrance Quiz -- What's your Score?
Phoney pilgrims haven't a prayer of seeing Pope
From Roger Boyes in Berlin
FOREIGN tourists requesting visas to visit Germany for the Pope’s first pilgrimage abroad are being asked searching questions about their knowledge of Christianity.
The measure by Germany is designed to prevent a wave of illegal immigration, especially from the Balkans. . . .
===========================
A test of faith for pilgrims- Who were the first people?
- How and when did Jesus die?
- In the story of the Creation, what did God create on the seventh day?
- As a result of the sin committed by Adam and Eve, in what condition do we now live?
- How many kinds of sin are there? Name them
- Who is the father of Jesus Christ?
- Who sentenced Jesus to death?
- Who were the sons of Adam and Eve?
- How many sacraments are there? Name them
- Name the seven deadly sins.
- Who betrayed Jesus to the Pharisees?
- Where does Jesus sit in Heaven?
- Name the three divine virtues.
- How long did Jesus stay on Earth after his resurrection?

Re: Take the WYD Entrance Quiz -- What's your Score?
85.7% (12/14)
(unless there are partial credits and/or extra credits, in which case I scored higher -- I missed part of #5, and wasn't sure of part of #10 so I marked them completely wrong, but I did have a more complete answer to #8)

To number 8, I would add Seth.
Wonder where they found Sin against the Holy Spirit as different from mortal sin?

Came up short on #14...somehow I don't think "a few days or so" would have passed. Heh.

Mortal sin can be forgiven - sin against the Holy Spirit is the "unforgivable sin".

When you say "Foreign Countries" I assume the United States is excluded. As far as I know, American tourists do not need a visa to visit Germany, just a passport. Am I correct?

The answer to 12 says that Jesus sits ON the right hand of God, as opposed to AT the right hand. Incorrect prepositions make for funny mental pictures

I barely pass: 79%. I'm sure I'd be acquitted of being a Christian too...

Re: Take the WYD Entrance Quiz -- What's your Score?
Got 100%, with the exception of considering "Sins against the Holy Spirit" as a sin seperate from mortal sin.
And yeah, they forgot Seth.
