Default Curmudgeons Cavern

There's no door on this cave, so come on in and gripe a bit.

Sure is. They shut us down at about a thousand posts and I wanted to have a place ready for us to move into. With a dirt floor, I don't have to worry about the pistachiso shells and Ann/E doesn't have to bring the vacuum when she comes to visit.

Nice cave Bob. I like the dirt floor, don't have to sweep it. I am only here for a short time today and most of this week. I am helping set up our K of C booth today for Swedish Days It is a big food festival out in Geneva, IL. I will be working at the booth everyday thru Sunday. We serve smoked turkey legs, Italian beef sandwiches, brats, Italian sausage, hot dogs, Buffalo wings, fried cheese curds. roasted corn, pork chops and pop. If you are near Geneva, IL between 6/21 and 6/27 stop by our booth for some good Mudgie food. Our profits go to all the charities we help support.

Thanks for the invite, Lance. I think I've been to Illinois twice in my life. One was for a week of company training in Chicago back in the sixties and about five years ago I cut across the southern part on my way to Colorado Springs. Sounds like you are putting together some real mudgie food - lots of meat. Would come up but it would be about a twelve hour drive and gas isn't exactly cheap right now.

So are we now living like Trogs? If so, are we gonna merge? Well, I know the 'junkies' won't want to come in HERE!

Now, do we get to gripe about it being TOO cold, TOO damp, TOO stuffy, TOO too much! Well, Jenn's gonna LOVE this place!

Edwin, we gotta have something to gripe about. And, Ann/E's darned sprinkles won't work in a cave so we don't have to worry about getting too happy. Also, if war ever erupts between us and the Junkies again, or the Noids, it will be kinda hard for them to burn down a cave. I thought we could get together with the Trogs and grill some meat. They're in the next cave over. The downside is that the chief Trog likes to cook a bunch of home grown veggies and we would rather feed them to our food.

I don't mind going in a cave. I wonder if this means bronto (as in brontosaurus) -burgers will be added to the mudgie menu.

I brought the cauldron over. Just build a fire under it, put some coffee in a dirty sock and throw it in, add whatever vile stuff we can find to add flavor, and, in a few minutes, we've got mudgie coffee. Have a cup.

Hi Grumpy cave dwellers. I thought I would check out out new place. I LOVE the bats hanging from the ceiling. That is an authentic touch.

Let me take a moment to tell ya'll 'bout my little trip on Hades Airlines this weekend to Charleston SC.
Supposed to leave Thurs - did make it off the ground in Roch but turned around due to mechanical failure. The airplane door wouldn't close. In my opinion - as a passenger seated in the last seat of the plane near the head, I say who cares about a door. I'm not getting sucked out where I sat - but the pilot did not agree.

Missed my connecting flight and hd to stay in a hotel in Atlanta - got in at 1:00am and back to the airport at 5:00am

Then last night I was supposed to leave Charleston but never made it because the flight crew failed to arrive. Now I'm there and I expect a pilot to show - but he had better things to attend to than fly a plane.

So I got off the ground at 6:00 am this morning. Made it in on a pleasant fight - but my bags have yet to catch up. They are somewhere flying the airlines.

But my ground travels were very fun.

Oh and can we talk about the skivey, skanksville hotel "no-tell" that the Hades airline supplied for me? Yikes - I am certain that "working girls" frequent the place.

Sorry you had such a bad trip, Jen. Do tell us the name of the airline so we can avoid it.

Did you get to see any of Charleston and try some of the local food?
