What is your family's favorite board game?
When the family gets together, what kind of board game do you play the most or the most favorite?
Since there are many kinds, I have tried to pick the most common, yet time tested.
I like to play just about all those mentioned... I just can't find many people who like these enteratinments.
Go with God!

Re: What is your family's favorite board game?
Our family LOVES to play games and it was really hard to choose a favorite category...so I based it on what the children ask for over and over...which is Monopoly, Life, Pay Day, etc...
They will, however, play anything. They so enjoy that family interaction.

Re: What is your family's favorite board game?
Our family likes all those categories of games -- I realize I could have checked them all, but selected only the hands down (heh) favorite: card games.
Our most favoritest one, spanning generations, is a progressive rummy game not exactly like any of the ones described here, but that's one of the charming features of card games -- Regional variation.

It's hard to pick just one. We love all these games. Let's see, roll the dice and . . .

Re: What is your family's favorite board game?
Well.... since more than one option was available, I sorta cheated and picked most of them.

Re: What is your family's favorite board game?
In my life before the forums...
Let's see we play Scrabble when my brother wins the favored sibling status, Boggle when I win, Trivial Pursuit when we're being nice to mom, and none of the above when we're being nice to my little sister .

Yes, You can pick more than one, because I thought in my first comment, that I picked ALL of them, since I really like to get together with others and have a quiet evening playing good wholesome games. (Yet, I'm single and those days are few and far between).
Go with God!

Just be careful not to "run with scissors" you might "loose an eye".
I picked "Trivia Pursuit", but I don't play much. My family isn't much into trivia and that think I'm 'kinda weird' for liking it so much LOL.

For extreme spoons, substitute steak knives.

Re: What is your family's favorite board game?
Had to choose ALL of them -- we love games and have a huge shelf of them. I like to play pinochle mostly because we can chat. For two players, I like backgammon or any of the neat Gigamic series of games. Sometimes my husband invents games on the spot and we play those -- usually centering around word play.
My son and husband are much more astute than I and prefer chess and go (traditional Japanese game).

Re: What is your family's favorite board game?
Every Christmas Eve, we break out the RISK game at about 5pm, have dinner over the game and play cutthroat until it's time to get ready for Midnight Mass. We started this about 10 years ago, when the kids were old enough to start playing. Now, everyone looks for alliances to each other starting around Thanksgiving.
On the Feast of Mary, Mother of God, we invite a brilliant priest (seminary professor) for dinner & a game of Monopoly. They all cheat so much (even the priest!) that I'm always the first one bankrupt. I think they plan that so I can serve dessert!
