Avatar not working

I put up an avatar as suggested by CAF but it isnt visible?.

I see it just fine. I'm not sure but there may be some sort of "can't see your own" deal going on.

Ah perhaps this is true. Because I cant see it at all? I wonder why this is?

My avatar isn't appearing either. I can see it on my own profile page but not when I post.

I have asked CAF for some advice but as yet I haven't received any.

I see it when I'm logged out of the forum but not when logged in.

Your avatar is different from your profile picture.

Yep, but the avatar still doesn't show. I go to fix it at the avatar set-up page, and when I go to save it it says that I haven't selected an avatar. Which is wrong, because I have selected one and it is showing at the top of that page.

Anyway, other people in the world have greater problems.

Are you selecting one of the predefined avatars or trying to upload your own? You won't be able to do the latter until you reach "regular member" status (about 400 more posts).

I had uploaded one of my own, and it had been showing just fine since soon after I joined.

Now it doesn't.

Very odd.

And when I go to edit my avatar, it is showing there.

OnEdit: I just went and checked my profile and looked at edit avatar and it is there, but not on the forum. As a matter of fact I don't see it right here in this thread.

Any chance on getting some help, or at least a time frame? I'm sure there are many issues to deal with, but I would like my avatar back....thanks...

I thought I would delete my avatar and then re-add it.....wrooong. Now I don't have the option to add my own custom avatar. Bummer.

re-read post #9. custom avatars are normally only permitted for "regular" members and above. That some "new" members can upload one is an accident and they are deleted when reaching "junior" status. In the meantime, please select from the standard avatars.
