Sports Forum?

Ok, I'm guilty for being clueless and non-observant sometimes, but maybe something to think about is a sports room/forum for us sports addicts?

Thanks. Boxing (but I don't like MMA/UFC), wrestling (Yes, "that" kind of wrestling

) and basketball are among favorites, but baseball is my absolute life.

Football & baseball top my list. I normally get into college hoops in January, but there's nothing more meaningless than November & December basketball.

I've been a life long Royals fan, yeah, save the jokes

I was 12 in '85 when the Royals last made the playoffs, hoping that drought ends in the next year or two

Oh my gosh! I like them too, even though I'm from New England! The Saberhagen/Cone/Frank White/George Brett years were great. I thought things would turn around, but I've been thinking they would for years now for them. They're my favorite American League team, but I'm a die hard Phillies fan-I'm loyal to them more than anything else.

If you think people fight now over something so silly as religion, what do you think will happen discussing the solemn world of sport?!

I grew up in far SW Iowa listening to the Royals on radio, that's how I became a fan. I drifted away from the team a few times, but being able to watch nearly every game (which I do, it's my Survivor or Dancing With The Stars) has gotten me back on the good side

Baseball is my favorite sport also. I live in NW Missouri so I listen to the Royals alot, but i'm a die-hard Red Sox fan- have been since around 85 when I was 4.....I lived in New York but have alot of family ties to Boston, so I grew up a Sox fan with my father and my brother grew up a Yankees fan with my uncle. It was fun living together with my brother for all those years...

I enjoy the Royals alot now, though. I think they have a great group of youngsters and should be serious contenders within 3 years. Only wish I could afford to go to the All-Star game at Kauffman next year.....

It looks like you have faith, my friend! Haha yes, if the Royals don't make the playoffs in the next few years, they never will. I am more or less a Royals fan too, and they sure have a lot of promise! They just need to improve their pitching!
