Well, you obviously know what the New Thread button looks like.

Three forums do not have that button. Those are
Ask An Apologist
Rules of the Road
Mini-Tutorials

Of the above, the final two are for the use of staff only. The first one I mentioned, Ask An Apologist, has special rules governing it. Questions are submitted to the apologists via a sub-forum and new threads only appear if the apologist answers the question.

But the other forums should have the New Thread button. For example, here is a link to the Back Fence forum
http://forums.catholic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=77

If you visit Back Fence, you don't see the New Thread button?

On the upper left hand of almost every forum at Catholic Answers Forums is a button which is labeled "New Thread." Just click on that button, given your thread a title and then post like a normal comment.

Here is a screenshot showing the location of the New Thread button in this forum. The location is the same in the other forums.
