Vocation
Tomorrow after communion I'm going to do something that I know I must do, but which I am also dreading.
I'm going to give my Archdeacon a letter, which will tell him that I believe God is calling me into his service as a minister in the Church of Ireland.
I truly believe it and want to serve God in all I do, but I'm new to Anglicanism, and I'm worried the Archdeacon won't agree with my vocation because I'm new.
I know that I'm probably the only Anglican here, but please pray that my vocation will be realised and that the Archdeacon will help me realise God's calling in my life, please pray that he will receive my letter well and that he will place his trust in me and support me in my vocation.
Pretty please, I really need some support from the CAF!

Re: Vocation
May our Lord's will be done in your life with no obstacles to his holy will. May you love the Lord's will and always follow it. (Praying that one day you will be a priest in the Roman Catholic Church.) Amen.

Re: Vocation
Our father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name, Thy kindgom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliever us from evil. Amen.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be world without end. Amen.

Re: Vocation
Of course I will pray for you, Jim. In fact, I often remember you by name in my Chaplets of Divine Mercy. When did you come to this conclusion that you think you are being called to become an Anglican vicar?
By the way, you're not the only Anglican on here. I friended a lady from Yorkshire who is also Anglican, and I'm sure there are others on here somewhere!
God Bless,
Pearl of Tyburn

Re: Vocation
Absolutely I will pray for you! If you haven't heard about it, I would look into the the Anglican ordinariate. There's some pretty awesome interaction happening between the Anglican communion and Roman communion right now. If you don't mind praying in return, I petition that you offer my prayer of Anglican-Roman reunification to our good and gracious God through Christ Jesus.
For your vocation:
Eternal Father, I offer you the body and blood, soul and divinity, of your dearly beloved son, our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.
For the sake of his sorrowful passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
For the sake of his sorrowful passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
For the sake of his sorrowful passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
For the sake of his sorrowful passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
For the sake of his sorrowful passion, have mercy on us, and on the whole world.
For the sake of his sorrowful passion, have mercy on us, and on the whole world.

Re: Vocation
O Holy Spirit, Spirit of wisdom and divine love, impart Your knowledge, understanding, and counsel to youth that they may know the vocation wherein they can best serve God. Give them courage and strength to follow God's holy will. Guide their uncertain steps, strengthen their resolutions, shield their chastity, fashion their minds, conquer their hearts, and lead them to the vineyards where they will labor in God's holy service.
Amen.
