Default Prayers badly needed!

Please pray for me. I am hoping to make my confirmation (10 years late) this April. I have been attending Mass since July and had been making good spiritual progress since that time. However, after making my first confession since my return around Christmas, I feel like I have been under increasing spiritual attack.

It has gotten particularly bad in the past couple of weeks, particularly today; the day before I meet with my priest to try to arrange to have myself confirmed. I have been plagued with doubt and depression, and have consequently found myself slipping back into old habits and inching towards despair.

For months I prayed my rosary, studied Scripture and theology, spent time in personal prayer, and generally devoted myself to the faith. But for the past 2 weeks, I have been in a spiritual coma. Please pray for God to restore my faith and trust in Him and his Church.

Thank you for your prayers and encouragement, wardrandolph, and the song as well.
God bless you.

Though our faith be tested, let us not falter.
I will pray for you. I understand what you are going through.

I will absolutely offer prayers up for you, and will light a candle for your intention tonight at Daily Mass

There is also a prayer chain within the group Candle and Chalice on Facebook, and if you don't mind, I will post your request for prayer there, too..

Assist us, O Lord our God;
and defend us evermore
by the might of Thy holy Cross,
in whose honour Thou makest us to rejoice.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

O loving messenger of the Incarnation,
descend upon all those for whom I wish peace and happiness.
Spread your wings over the cradles of the new-born babes,
O thou who didst announce the coming of the Infant Jesus.
Give to the young a lily petal from the virginal scepter in your hand.
Cause the Ave Maria to re-echo in all hearts that they
may find grace and joy through Mary.
Finally, recall the sublime words spoken on the day of the Annunciation--
"Nothing is impossible with God," and repeat them in hours of trial--
to all I love--that their confidence in Our Lord may be reanimated,
when all human help fails.
Amen.

In the name of the Father,
and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.

May our Lord grant you the gift of faith and help you to trust in Him and His Church. May our Lord grant you a fruitful meeting with your priest; may the priest calm your fears. May you persevere and not let anything separate you from the Lord and not let anything cause you despair. May you hope against hope and seek only to do the Lord's will - and do so at all costs. May you be abandoned to our Lord's merciful love full of confidence in His merciful love. Amen.
