Arrow Prayer for Victims of Violent Attacks

Please pray for victims of violent crimes and their attackers.

Also, please pray that the increasing number of threads (aside from prayer requests) regarding these things with titles like violent attack, rape, etc lessens. Pray the posters will try to remember a large number of people have been a victim of a violent crime and seeing or reading such can bring back a flood of horrific memories. Sleepless nights, nightmares, sadness, and so on. (Especially when many people discuss these topics and victims as if they are complaining about the weather or talking stocks) I logically understand, but emotion kicks in first.

Lastly, please pray I'm able to keep my fingers from typing on these threads as I know most posters have no idea the effect their words can have when discussing some of these things.

I saw the word kidnapped in one and then a rollyeyes icon beside it. I know the poster meant no harm or insult in any way whatsoever, but that was all I saw on the page. I've almost left the forum due to the numerous time I've logged on and these were main titles listed- which I stupidly read. I worry for those who might have been recently attacked and are new to the forum.

Thank you.

God Bless
~Bix

Prayer for Victims

Watch, O Lord, with those who wake, or watch, or weep tonight,
and give Your angels and saints charge over those who sleep.

Tend Your sick ones, O Lord Christ.
Rest Your weary ones.
Bless Your dying ones.
Soothe Your suffering ones.
Pity Your afflicted ones.
Shield Your joyous ones, and all for Your love's sake.
Amen.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection,
implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother.
To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions,
but in your mercy, hear and answer me.
Amen.

O Blessed Archangel Gabriel, we beseech thee,
do thou intercede for us at the throne of divine Mercy
in our present necessities, that as thou didst announce to Mary
the mystery of the Incarnation, so through thy prayers
and patronage in heaven we may obtain the benefits of the same,
and sing the praise of God forever in the land of the living.
Amen.

Lord, please grant love and healing to those who have been violently attacked. Please put caring people in their lives, and surround them with angels. Please bless them and protect them from evil, and grant them deep faith. Thank you, Lord, for hearing my prayer.

Praying for your intentions….

Lord Jesus, You have said, "Learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart." With confidence in Your loving heart which offers rest to weary souls, we come to You in this time of special need. In Your unfailing love, read the prayer that is written on our hearts, and grant the grace that we ask of You, in accordance with Your holy will. In Your name we pray. Amen.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, and sought thy intercession, was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother, to thee I come, before thee I stand sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate! Despise not my petitions, but, in thy mercy, hear and answer me. Amen.

Our Father,
who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail, Mary, Full of grace, The Lord is with thee;
Blessed are thou among women,
And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, Pray for us sinners,
Now, and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning,
is now, and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen.

In the name of the Father,
And of the Son,
And of the Holy Spirit,
Amen.

Thank you all for praying! Bless you!

Lord, please help these victims as they restore their lives.
Please give them the strength, mercy and compassion
to forgive those who harmed them.
Please Lord, have mercy on the victims.
Please, touch the hearts of those who commit violence
bringing them to a relationship with you and helping others.
Amen.

Holy Saint Joan, compassionate to the sick and wounded,
who, while on earth, nursed so many back to health, hear me.
You who wished to see no one injured or in discomfort,
pray for these people and guide them through this difficult time.
Daughter of God, wounded many times in battle,
I petition you for any healing of body, mind, soul, and spirit,
so that they may be better able to serve God in whatever capacity He wishes.
Intercede for them please.
Help them to remain strong and be healed physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Amen.

Assist us, O Lord our God;
and defend us evermore
by the might of Thy holy Cross,
in whose honour Thou makest us to rejoice.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

O loving messenger of the Incarnation,
descend upon all those for whom I wish peace and happiness.
Spread your wings over the cradles of the new-born babes,
O thou who didst announce the coming of the Infant Jesus.
Give to the young a lily petal from the virginal scepter in your hand.
Cause the Ave Maria to re-echo in all hearts that they
may find grace and joy through Mary.
Finally, recall the sublime words spoken on the day of the Annunciation--
"Nothing is impossible with God," and repeat them in hours of trial--
to all I love--that their confidence in Our Lord may be reanimated,
when all human help fails.
Amen.

In the name of the Father,
And of the Son,
And of the Holy Spirit
Amen
