Default Whitney Houston's Funeral To Be Picketed By Westboro Baptist Church

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/0...n_1283072.html

Fred Phelps might want to make sure his Last Will and Testament is up-to-date.

And why am I not surprised? Moreover, I am thinking that (Rev) Ben Phelps would have been picketing the Crucifixion. Now, if only we can get Landover Baptist Church to join the Branch BenPhelpsians we could have all the nuts in one basket.

silly rant over..thanks for not throwing tomatoes or stones.

As an Australian, I don't know much about the Klu Klux Klan, but were they ever in Kansas?

If so, I wouldn't be surprised if some of the fraternity have joined the Westboro Baptist Church, or if it's attracting people of that sort of mentality.

The Westboro Baptist Church consists primarily of the members of the Phelps family. Fred was a life long democrat that ran for governor (came close to winning the democrat nomination) and the group helped Al Gore's presidential campaign in the 1990s. I seriously doubt they would let anyone join their "church" that could possibly usurp Fred's leadership.

The KKK was active for a time in Kansas but even in its prime (the 1920s) it was never a real force of any kind.

Why? Because her church is a real Baptist church and not a fake one? Because she got divoirced? Did drugs? Drank? Which?

Why give them any publicity? They're glad to get whatever kind they can, negative or positive. Even commenting on their intention to picket is pointless.

Exactly. They'll picket anything that will grab them a headline.

No, itís more than that. Itís a justification, an excuse, for not helping each other and those outside the Church fall in love with Jesus Christ. This has nothing to do with Ms. Houston or her church. Fred Phelps and his followers(will not call them a church) are notorius for "protesting" the funerals of U.S. military and celebrities in order to get free publicity. They are nutcases.

For the publicity. That's all they care about.
