I believe in the power of prayer but I also believe that everything is by God's will and for His purpose. Thank you for your posts.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.

Amen.

Almighty and merciful Father,
If it be your Holy Will,
drive away from Dee all forms of sickness and disease.
Restore strength to her body and joy to her spirit,
so that in her renewed health,
she may bless and serve you,
now and forever.
Amen!

Praying.

Watch, O Lord, with those who wake, or watch, or weep tonight,
and give Your angels and saints charge over those who sleep.

Tend Your sick ones, O Lord Christ.
Rest Your weary ones.
Bless Your dying ones.
Soothe Your suffering ones.
Pity Your afflicted ones.
Shield Your joyous ones, and all for Your love's sake.
Amen.

In the name of the Father,
And of the Son,
And of the Holy Spirit
Amen

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection,
implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother.
To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions,
but in your mercy, hear and answer me.
Amen.

Watch, O Lord, with those who wake, or watch, or weep tonight,

Praying for Dee....

O God, your Son accepted our sufferings to teach us the virtue of patience in human illness. Hear the prayers we offer for Dee. May all who suffer pain, illness or disease realize that they are chosen to be saints, and know that they are joined to Christ in his suffering for the salvation of the world, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Praying for Dee....

Dear Jesus, Divine Physician and Healer of the sick, we turn to you in this time of illness. O dearest comforter of the troubled, alleviate our worry and sorrow with your gentle love, and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden. Dear God, we place our worries in your hands. We place our sick under your care and humbly ask that you restore your servant to health again. Above all, grant us the grace to acknowledge your will and know that whatever you do, you do for the love of us. Amen.

Praying for Dee....

Our Father who Art in Heaven
Hallowed be thy Name
Thy Kingdom come
Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Praying for Dee….
Lord Jesus, You have said,
"Learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart."
With confidence in Your loving heart
which offers rest to weary souls,
we come to You in this time of special need.
In Your unfailing love,
read the prayer that is written on our hearts,
and grant the grace that we ask of You,
in accordance with Your holy will.
In Your name we pray.
Amen.

Praying for Dee….
May the Lord in his love and mercy help Dee with the Grace of the Holy Spirit. Amen

A Prayer for Healing

Lord, You invite all who are burdened to come to You, allow Your healing hand to heal us. Touch our souls with Your compassion for others. Touch our hearts with Your courage and infinite love for all. Touch our minds with Your wisdom, that our mouths may always proclaim Your praise. Teach us to reach out to You in my need, and help us to lead others to You by our example. Most HOLY FACE OF JESUS bring us health in body and spirit that we may serve You with all our strength. Touch us gently this life which You have created, now and forever. Amen.

ALS is problem that will be with Dee for a while. I promised that I would say a prayer for her every day, which I have... and I will! Dee is a wonderful person, wife, mother, sister, daughter and cousin! She is a very kind and polite person and a good Christian! Her brother Art thanked me for posting her prayer request here, because, like me he believes in the power of prayer. Thank you all very much for your prayers!
I recently received an update -

Quote:
Hello Jimmy,

Just wanted to give you an update on my sister.

She got her results back from OSHU and it was not good. She does have ALS as dignosed by the Mayo clinic.

She falls alot and is not going back to work at the college next quarter. And her job with the city she can work from home.

She now has a wheel chair for her to get around home and when her and Don go out. They are buying a van to help transport her.

The ALS has really been progressing rapidly with her, so all we can do is try to be there for her and Don right now.

Keep her in your prayers and my mother too!

I'll let you know when I hear more.

Arthur
