please pray for a Bishop who is ill

This is a prayer for a Bishop who was touched in a mild way by the scandals in the church when they first started. He is a good and holy man. People turned away in fear because the scandals were just starting, I can't remember the year, and everybody was walking on eggshells. The scandal had to do with a complaint brought by a person in the personal service of the Bishop, this person had problems of his own, and the matter was settled, but left a bad feeling. The Bishop has been ill now for a long time. He wasn't the same, it seemed to me, after that. The complaint seemed to touch his confidence. He had a spot on the local radio station which he gave up. I don't know whether there is a connection. I am not privy to these matters and am not in any formal way a member of the church, I just used to call the prayer line at the radio station a lot. (I think they got sick of me.)

The radio station got younger, I got older, a favorite announcer left to become an itinerant Catholic apologist and has his own show somewhere now, it is so good to hear him broadcast again as the station recently started broadcasting his talks.

I pray for the Bishop, I don't know if I am allowed to say his name, for his physical strength and wellness and for his courage and special grace. I had a personal liking for him. He is a very bright man who got into trouble for something dumb, just for being human in a way that was not unholy, it was the other person who had the problem, the Bishop was touched by this incident nonetheless. It made me mad, and also made me feel hurt.
