Mongolians do, yes. Milk and salt. I can't remember what it's called, but they drink it by the bucketfuls. Like Tibetan yak butter tea, the most diplomatic remark I can make about it is that it's an acquired taste.

I don't know about Sencha, but having lived in Sri Lanka I became spoiled on silver tip tea (dirt cheap there, unholy expensive elsewhere), which naturally tastes of honey.

So lucky. I'd love to live by a tea field, I'd raid it all day.
I've never tried or even heard of that tea. I will get some if I can find it.

How much salt?
A teaspoon of salt to a cup of tea, or just sprinkle a little into it?
All I have to loose is a teabag and 90 seconds of my time in front of the nuclear accelerator.
I might try it some day.
Maybe...
Perhaps...

If you find it online (silver tip tea) post the link.
I'll try to find it myself tonight.

Add to taste.
On a serious note, it's probably one teaspoon.

Now that I really think about it, it seems horrible. Any more than one teaspoon and I'll be frothing at the mouth.

...and the possibility of being put off of tea for life. Remember, it's butter to add to it, not milk. Although someone mentioned a similar tea where you do add the milk.

It seems to be called Silver Needle tea. I don't know if it is the Silver Tip though. Maybe they are not the same.
http://www.cantonteaco.com/white-tea...FWIntAodngvLDg
Or le more trusty Amazon;
http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/?ie=UTF8&k...l_3y488yvgax_b
I don't think Silver Tip is on the Internet unfortunately.
